Scope of use

Flowix is a local Markdown notes app, open-sourced under the MIT License (GitHub repo). You may:

  • Download, install, and use it free for personal or commercial purposes
  • View and modify the source code, and redistribute it under the MIT License

You may not:

  • Package or distribute modified versions under the Flowix name, or pass them off as official releases
  • Use Flowix for any purpose that violates the laws of your jurisdiction

Downloads & updates

macOS / Windows installers are published on GitHub Releases. We try to keep download links stable, but we don't guarantee permanent availability of older versions.

Local data

By default, Flowix does not upload your notes; all Markdown files are stored in the local workspace you choose. If you subscribe to the cloud-storage plan (see below), your notes are also stored on our servers as part of that paid service. Deleting the app does not delete your workspace. We recommend protecting your local data with system-level backups (Time Machine / File History).

Third-party AI tools

Flowix lets you use external AI agents and model providers (including Codex, Claude Code, OpenCode, and Hermes) from within your editing context. These services are provided by their respective vendors:

  • You sign in or authenticate using each agent or provider's supported method, such as a subscription account or API key
  • Calls are governed by the corresponding vendor's terms and privacy policy
  • Any charges follow that provider's plan; Flowix does not add a markup

Cloud storage subscription

Flowix offers an optional paid cloud-storage plan on top of the free local-only app. Subscriptions are monthly or annual and auto-renew until you cancel. See pricing for plans and prices.

There is no free trial; use the free local-only app as long as you like and subscribe only when you decide the paid features are worth it. All subscription payments are non-refundable.

Auto-renewal: your plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you keep paid features until then.

Price changes: we may change subscription prices for upcoming billing periods. We will notify you in advance; if you do not agree, you may cancel before the change takes effect.

Failed payments: we may retry the charge and, after a reasonable grace period, downgrade your account to the free tier.

Your data: your notes remain yours. You can export them at any time. On cancellation, your server-side copy is deleted after a reasonable grace period — export before then if you want to keep it.

Service changes: we may modify or discontinue the cloud-storage service with reasonable notice, and will provide a data export path if we discontinue it entirely.

EU withdrawal right: by starting a subscription you expressly request immediate access to the service and acknowledge that your 14-day right of withdrawal no longer applies once the paid service has begun.
